Ready Hearts - November Message Series
Sunday, November 9, 16, 23 – 10:30 a.m.
Difficult times can either knock our hearts way off track or re-focus them on what’s most important in life. God invites us to a way of life that is ready, whether times are good or times are bad. It’s a perfect time in these three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving to explore God’s encouraging Word about having “ready hearts.”
ANGEL TREE PARTY – An SHBC Christmastime Ministry Project
This Christmas season the ministries of Southern Hills Baptist Church will join together to provide Angel Tree Gifts and a Party for area children whose mothers or fathers are incarcerated. To volunteer to help before or on the day of the party

Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree is about parent-child reconciliation and families helping families. Thousands of families from churches across the country “adopt” an Angel Tree child each Christmas and provide much needed assistance and love, given on behalf of the incarcerated parent. http://www.angeltree.org/site_hmpg.asp
- Since this program began in 1982 over 15 million Angel Tree Gifts have been given nationwide
- Each year, over 12,000 churches nationwide help brighten Christmas for children while their parents are in prison.
- In the Oklahoma there are over 9,000 families who could benefit from us showing God’s love to them.

Season of Sharing
December 13th, Saturday
The SHBC Choir will be caroling and doing a mini concert as a part of the Christmas Wonderland at the Bass Pro Shop in Broken Arrow. Come enjoy some wonderful music and shop too!
December 14th, Sunday, 10:30 a.m.
The SHBC Worship Arts Ministry will do a mini concert during the worship time of our service.
December 17th, Wednesday, 6:30 pm
“Caroling with the Choir” - We will be inviting families from our congregation to join with the small choir groups to go caroling at local shelters, and nursing homes. We’ll then return to the church for have cookies and hot chocolate.
